A unit converted to space combat specifications, based on the heavily damaged GUNDAM GP01. Originally, the GUNDAM GP01 was adaptable to both ground and space combat by swapping out its Core Fighter, but in consideration of future operational deployments, it was permanently converted to space combat specifications. The rear section of the Core Fighter was completely refurbished and equipped with a Boost Pod, dramatically improving its mobility and maneuverability in space when functioning as the MS's Thruster system. It ended in mutual destruction after a fierce battle with the Gundam GP02A, which had attacked the fleet review at Confeito.
